abstract This invention relates to a forceps for the correction of eyelid ptosis and performing a conjunctival-Müllerectomy comprising a disposable hook-shaped central needle that can retract to a predefined distance as the forceps blades close to clamp and hold the tissues, which obviates the need for an assistant and traction sutures. Similarly, the blades of the forceps of the present invention form a tunnel when closed to allow sutures to be passed through them with a straight needle.
