abstract | A thin-film transistor array substrate (10) and a liquid-crystal display having the thin-film transistor array substrate (10). The thin-film transistor array substrate (10) comprises: a substrate (11); a display region (12) formed on the substrate (11); a flexible circuit board (13) provided on the substrate (11) and located at one side of the display region (12); a control chip (14) provided between the display region (12) and the flexible circuit board (13), wherein two sides of the flexible circuit board (13) respectively extend beyond two corresponding sides of the control chip (14); a reinforcement element (15) provided at a first side of the control chip (14), wherein the first side is adjacent to a side of the control chip (14) facing the display region (12); a second reinforcement element (16) provided at a second side opposite the first side; and a third reinforcement element (17) covering the control chip (14), the first reinforcement element (15) and the second reinforcement element (16). By providing the reinforcement elements (15, 16 and 17) around the control chip (14), the strength of a region occupied by the control chip (14) is reinforced. |
