A prognostic method and kit for identifying the risk of developing albuminuria, the risk of kidney damage and cardiovascular risk in a hypertensive human subject. The method comprises evaluating the concentration in urine of at least one compound selected from amongst glutamate, glycerate, guanidoacetate, pantothenate, oxalacetate, 3-ureidopropionate, 3-hydroxybutyrate, malate and pyruvate, determining whether at least one of the markers is above or below the standard values in healthy subjects, where said markers are the concentration of the compounds and panels comprising various compounds, and identifying the risks in said human subject. |
