abstract The present invention relates to a sintered material having the following chemical composition, in mass percent: - iron oxide(s), expressed as Fe 2 O 3 ≥ 85%, - CaO: 0.1% - 6%, - SiO 2 : 0.1% - 6%, - 0.05% ≤ TiO2, - 0 ≤ Al 2 O 3 , - TiO 2 + Al 2 O 3 ≤ 3%, and - constituents other than iron oxides, CaO, SiO 2 , TiO 2 and Al 2 O 3 : ≤ 5%, the CaO/SiO 2 mass ratio being between 0.2 and 7, and the TiO 2 /CaO mass ratio being between 0.2 and 1.5; and to the use of said material for a heat storage unit.
