Provided is a battery packaging material having an excellent moldability. The battery packaging material comprises a laminate provided with at least a base layer, a barrier layer, and a thermally fusible resin layer in the indicated sequence, wherein at least one layer forming the base layer is formed from a polybutylene terephthalate film, and a value, which is obtained by dividing, by the square root √Y (√μm) of the thickness Y (μm) of the polybutylene terephthalate film, the puncture strength X (N) as measured by the method according to JIS Z 1707:1997 for puncture from the base layer side of the laminate, is at least 3.90 N/√μm. |
