abstract | The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a ferrite carrier core material that is for an electrophotographic developer, that makes it possible to obtain desired resistance characteristics and desired charging characteristics while maintaining the advantages of a ferrite carrier, and in which the environmental fluctuation of resistance and charge amount is small; a ferrite carrier for an electrophotographic developer; an electrophotographic developer using the ferrite carrier; and a method for producing the ferrite carrier core material for an electrophotographic developer. In order to solve the abovementioned problem, the present invention uses a ferrite carrier core material characterized by having Zr unevenly distributed on the surface of ferrite particles containing 15-25 mass% of Mn, 0.5-5.0 mass% of Mg, 0.05-4.0 mass% of Sr, and 45-55 mass% of Fe. |
