abstract | Provided are a gas barrier film having excellent transparency and stably high gas barrier properties, a method for manufacturing the same, and an organic EL device which uses the gas barrier film. The gas barrier film pertaining to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with at least a substrate film (1), a first inorganic-compound layer (2) formed on one surface of the substrate film (1), a gas barrier coating (3) including at least a water-soluble polymer and one or more types of alkoxides or hydrolyzates thereof formed on the first inorganic-compound layer (2), a planarizing layer (4) formed on the gas barrier coating (3), and a second inorganic-compound layer (5) formed on the planarizing layer (4). |
