abstract The present invention relates to a thin film substrate formed of an organic/inorganic composite material, which is formed in a stacked structure for manufacturing a gas barrier substrate and a cover window on an ITO hard coating film and a flexible display to prevent a scratch on various display surfaces such as smart phones, tablet PCs, notebooks, etc.; and a method for manufacturing a thin film substrate using the same. In particular, the present invention relates to a thin film substrate of an organic/inorganic composite material formed in a stacked structure, which can satisfy light transparency, mechanical flexibility, light weight, and chemical resistance of a curable resin as well as scratch resistance, heat dissipation, gas barrier properties of inorganic particles, excellent surface hardness, and barrier and index matching characteristics at the same time, by using the optical compensation effect through index matching of the inherent refractive index of the inorganic particles; and a method for manufacturing a thin film substrate using the same.
