A method for preparing perhydrofluorene or a perhydrofluorene alkyl substituent, comprising the following steps: (1) reacting a phenolic compound or an arene compound or an aromatic ketone compound or an aromatic ether compound with a benzyl compound to allow alkylation in the presence of a first catalyst to generate substituted or unsubstituted diphenylmethane, wherein the first catalyst is an acid catalyst; and (2) reacting the substituted or unsubstituted diphenylmethane with hydrogen to allow hydrogenation or hydrodeoxygenation in the presence of a second catalyst to obtain perhydrofluorene or a perhydrofluorene alkyl substituent, wherein the second catalyst is a mechanical mixture of a metal catalyst and an acid catalyst or a metal catalyst loaded on an acid catalyst. |
