titleOfInvention | Heat storage system |
abstract | A heat storage system is provided with: an energy conversion unit (10); and a heat accumulation unit (20). The heat accumulation unit is provided with: a heat accumulation member (24) capable of storing, via a heat medium, heat released from the energy conversion unit; and a container (21) capable of holding a plurality of the heat accumulation members and inside which the heat medium can be distributed. In a heat accumulation mode, the heat accumulation members can store heat by at least a portion thereof undergoing a phase change from a solid state to a liquid state. In a heat release mode, the heat accumulation members can release the stored heat by undergoing a phase change from a liquid state to a solid state. The heat accumulation member includes an inorganic hydrate, an overcooling suppression agent, and a shell member (24b). The overcooling suppression agent promotes a phase change of the inorganic hydrate from a liquid phase to a solid phase, and is in the form of a solid state during phase change of the inorganic hydrate. The shell member encloses the inorganic hydrate and the overcooling suppression agent. An outer surface of the shell member is capable of contacting the heat medium. |
