abstract The present invention relates to a method for controlling pyrimethanil-resistant or pyrimethanil-tolerant fungi, or restoring sensitivity to pyrimethanil in pyrimethanil-resistant or pyrimethanil-tolerant fungi, by contacting said fungi with a composition comprising a combination of pyrimethanil and an alkane carboxylic acid of formula: CH 3 -(CH 2 ) n -COOH, wherein n is 4 to 7 whereby the ratio by weight of pyrimethanil to the alkane carboxylic acid of formula: CH 3 -(CH 2 ) n -COOH is from 1/10 to 1/100. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to a method for protecting materials, plants, seeds, crops or fruits that are at risk of being infested with pyrimethanil-resistant fungi or pyrimethanil-tolerant fungi by contacting said materials, plants, seeds, crops or fruits with a composition comprising a combination of pyrimethanil and an alkane carboxylic acid CH 3 -(CH 2 ) n -COOH wherein n is 4 to 7 whereby the ratio by weight of pyrimethanil to the alkane carboxylic acid of formula: CH 3 -(CH 2 ) n -COOH is from 1/10 to 1/100.
