abstract The objective of the present invention is to provide an information processing device with which predictions can be supported logically on the basis of past statistical information that includes qualitative non-numeric data. This information processing device, which determines whether a determination subject corresponding to input data belongs to a specific classification, is characterized by having a storage unit for storing input data corresponding to a determination subject and multiple items of sample data corresponding respectively to multiple sample subjects, and a classification determination unit for determining whether the determination subject belongs to a specific classification, wherein multiple indices each include multiple divisions, and on the basis of the number of sample data belonging to each division of each index and aggregated for each of the multiple classifications by using index information and classification information of the sample data, the classification determination unit calculates a first conditional probability for each division of the indices when the specific classification has occurred and a second conditional probability for each division of the indices when a nonspecific classification has occurred, and determines whether the determination subject belongs to the specific classification on the basis of the index information of the input data, the first conditional probability, and the second conditional probability.
