abstract | The invention relates to fire protection gels containing a polymer produced from one or more sulphonated derivatives of unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acids as monomers and water. The invention also relates to a method for producing the fire protection gel, comprising the following steps: providing one or more sulphonated derivatives of unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acids as monomers; mixing with water; and polymerising the monomer/s. The invention further relates to the use of the fire protection gels for producing fire protection glass, wherein the fire protection gel is produced by polymerising the monomers between two glass panes. |
