abstract | The invention provides a method for producing tetrafluoropropene represented by general formula (1) by reacting monochlorotrifluoropropene represented by general formula (2) and anhydrous hydrogen fluoride in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the production method makes it possible to suppress deterioration of the catalyst while maintaining the conversion rate of the raw material and the selectivity of the target product within good ranges and to continue the reaction for an extended period of time. The invention specifically provides a method for producing tetrafluoropropene represented by general formula (1): CF 3 CX=CHX (in general formula (1), each X is different from the other and indicates H or F), wherein the production method includes a step for bringing an organic material including monochlorotrifluoropropene represented by general formula (2): CF 3 CY=CHY (in general formula (2), each Y is different from the other and indicates H or Cl.) into contact with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride in a reactor in which a catalyst is present, and the anhydrous hydrogen fluoride supplied to the reactor is 30 mol or more per mole of the organic material supplied to the reactor. |
