Self-orientating liquid crystal medium composition and liquid crystal display panel |
abstract |
Provided are a self-orientating liquid crystal medium composition and a liquid crystal display panel. The self-orientating liquid crystal medium composition comprises two or more additive materials selected from a first additive material and a second additive material, both having a molecular structure consisting of a head group functioning primarily through intermolecular force to anchor onto a substrate, and a tail group functioning primarily as a PI side chain to achieve a vertical arrangement of liquid crystal molecules by means of steric hindrance. By combining different additive materials, the tendency of additive materials containing an inorganic silicon group to aggregate can be reduced, thereby enhancing the substrate-anchoring effect of an additive material containing an organic polar group. |
