abstract | The invention relates to an isolated bacterial strain of the species Pseudomona aeruginosa , referred to as Pseudomona aeruginosa CSMY-1, deposited in the Microbial Genetic Resources Bank (Banco de Recursos Genéticos Microbianos) of the Chilean Collection of Microbial Genetic Resources (Colección Chilena de Recursos Genéticos Microbianos, CChRGM), under access number RGM2262, and the date 7 August 2015, which is a facultative strain that can remove chemical components having characteristics that contaminate natural or industrial effluents or soils in that it degrades the compounds. The invention also relates to a method for the bioremediation of contaminants of a contaminated environment, comprising: a. adding the bacteria Pseudomona aeruginosa CSMY-1 in the form of a biofilm to said contaminated environment; and b. incubating said bacteria Pseudomona aeruginosa CSMY-1 in the form of a biofilm in said environment. |
