A nonaqueous secondary battery according to the present disclosure is provided with: a positive electrode member containing a conductive material, a binder and a positive electrode active material which is composed of Na X Fe Y (SO 4 ) Z (wherein X, Y and Z are within the ranges of 0 < X ≤ 3, 1 ≤ Y ≤ 3 and 2 ≤ Z ≤ 4); a negative electrode member containing a binder and a negative electrode active material, into and from which sodium ions are able to be intercalated and deintercalated; and a separator. The surface of the positive electrode active material is covered with a carbonaceous layer that contains a hydrogen group. |
