abstract |
This image forming device is provided with a recording body (101), a liquid absorption member (105a) which comprises a porous body which absorbs part of the liquid from an image containing a liquid formed on the recording body (101), and a nip part forming unit (105b) which forms a nip part between the recording body (101) and the porous body, wherein the ratio A (=P1/X1) of the pressure peak P1 over the nip distance X1 from the start of contact between a first surface of the porous body and the recording body (101) up to the location on the nip unit of the nip pressure peak (P1) close to the entrance side of the recording body (101) is less than the ratio B (=P2/X2) of the pressure peak P2 over the nip distance X2 from the location of the pressure peak P2 close to the exit side of the recording body (101) to where the porous body and the recording body (101) separate from each other. |
