abstract The present invention provides aqueous silicone emulsions comprising a crosslinked polyorganosiloxane, a polyvinyl alcohol polymer, and water, wherein the crosslinked polyorganosiloxane is a reaction product of (A) a polyorganosiloxane or a mixture of polyorganosiloxanes wherein the polyorganosiloxane comprises at least two reactive groups and (B) at least one self-catalyzing crosslinking agent having more than two leaving groups. The present invention also provide methods for making the emulsions and composition comprising the emulsions.
