titleOfInvention Composition comprising periostin-derived peptide as active ingredient for promoting angiogenesis
abstract The present invention relates to a composition comprising a periostin-derived peptide as an active ingredient for promoting angiogenesis, a composition for preventing or treating ischemic disease, and a composition for wound healing. The periostin-derived peptide according to the present invention comprises at least ten amino acids, facilitating the preparation and mass production of peptides, and has excellent effects of promoting the migration of vascular endothelial progenitor cells, promoting angiogenesis, promoting vasculogenesis, promoting the reepithelialization of skin wounds, at low concentrations compared with when the whole proteins are used, and thus, the periostin-derived peptide can be usefully utilized as a composition for promoting angiogenesis and a composition for treating vascular diseases, especially, ischemic disease and wounds.
