abstract |
Nanofibers that retain crystallinity are obtained from a cellulose material by a light load. Alkali cellulose is produced by treating a material containing cellulose with an alkali metal hydroxide aqueous solution of 4-9 mass%; cellulose xanthate is made by reacting this alkali cellulose with carbon disulfide; and nanofibers are made by fibrillating this cellulose xanthate. Cellulose nanofibers are then regenerated from the xanthate by acid or heat treatment. |
