abstract This electric discharge control apparatus (60), which performs operation control of a gas modification device (32) that modifies gas by electric discharge from electrodes (41), is provided with: a temperature acquisition unit (204, 209, 301, 305) which acquires, as a gas temperature (T), the temperature of gas flowing out from the gas modification device; a voltage setting unit (74) which variably sets a search voltage (Vs) that is applied to the electrodes, so as to search for a voltage at which electric discharge from the electrodes occurs; and a temperature determination unit (211, 307) which determines, when the search voltage is set to increase by the voltage setting unit, whether or not the increase degree (ΔT) of the gas temperature relative to a predetermined increase degree (Vadd) of the search voltage is greater than a determination value (A) defined in advance.
