abstract The present invention is: a method for preparing adherent-type cells acclimated to suspension culture, the method having a step for culturing adherent-type cells in a state of contact with a molded article of a polymer containing an alicyclic structure; a method for producing a nucleic acid or a protein coded by a foreign gene, by culturing of the adherent-type cells acclimated to suspension culture by the aforementioned method; an agent for promoting acclimation of adherent-type cells to suspension culture, comprising a molded article of a polymer containing an alicyclic structure; the use of a molded article of a polymer containing an alicyclic structure, for causing acclimation of adherent-type cells to suspension culture in a liquid medium; a container for acclimation of adherent-type cells to suspension culture, at least a bottom surface of the container comprising a molded article of a polymer containing an alicyclic structure; a method for inducing epithelial-mesenchymal transition, the method having a step for culturing adherent-type epithelial cells in a state of contact with a molded article of a polymer containing an alicyclic structure; and a method for producing a nucleic acid or a protein coded by a foreign gene, by culturing of adherent-type cells in which epithelial-mesenchymal transition is induced by the aforementioned method.
