abstract The invention concerns a rubber composition for a tyre, comprising at least one diene elastomer, an inorganic reinforcing filler and a coupling agent linking the inorganic filler and the diene elastomer, characterised in that the coupling agent is an azosilane compound having formula (I): (G 1 ) (3- n -r) (G 2 ) r Si-Z-NH-C(O)-N=N-C(O)-NH-Z-Si(G 1 ) (3-r) (G 2 ) r wherein: - G 1 , which may be identical or different, each represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group selected from among optionally substituted, linear or branched alkyls having between 1 and 18 carbon atoms, optionally substituted cycloalkyls or aryls having between 5 and 18 carbon atoms, optionally substituted, linear or branched alkoxyls, having between 2 and 18 carbon atoms, optionally substituted alkenyloxyls, having between 2 and 18 carbon atoms, optionally substituted aryloxy or aralkyloxy groups, having between 6 and 18 carbon atoms or a hydroxyl group (-OH), - G 2 , which may be identical or different, represent a monovalent group taking the form G 1 -(-O-(CJ 2 ) a ) b -O-) in which J represents hydrogen, a phenyl group or an alkyl group having between 1 and 4 carbon atoms, b is a number within the range of 1 to 18 and a is a number within the range of 1 to 6, - Z represents a divalent linking group comprising between 1 and 18 carbon atoms, - r has a mean value within the range of 1.3–1.7.
