abstract | The invention relates to a method for managing the operation of a data-processing device (OBJ), referred to as the first device, capable of communicating with another data-processing device (MOB), referred to as the second device, via communication channels including a first communication channel having a first range and a second communication channel (RES2) having a second range greater than the first, the first device including at least one location module, characterised in that, following an interruption of the communication via the first channel, the method comprises, in the first device (OBJ), a receiving step during which the first device receives from the second device, via the second channel, at least one command capable of modifying the operation of a location module in order to obtain the location of the first device; and a step of transmitting, via the second channel, at least one message including a location obtained via the location module. |
