titleOfInvention Cellulose matrix hybrid composite material having inorganic fillers
abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a cellulose matrix hybrid composite and inorganic micro- and/or nano-particulate reinforcing means. In one embodiment, the method includes the use of the waste material of the paper recycling process and the fly ash from bagasse combustion of sugar cane as an inorganic reinforcing means. The cellulose matrix is made compatible with the inorganic reinforcing means via the modification of the surface by means of the solvent exchange method. The hybrid composite is bonded via the addition of expanded polystyrene resin dissolved in a mixture of ethyl acetate and acetone, as well as the mixture of resins of the acrylic emulsion type with 50 wt.% solids and being water-based. The composite can be used for manufacturing moulded parts for different applications, such as prefabricated parts for the construction of buildings, internal or external automotive parts, wind turbine blades, fishing boats, parts of fish farms, parts for furniture, prefabricated parts such as electrical cable ducts.
