abstract The present application relates to an optical element and a variable transmittance member comprising the same. The optical element has a liquid crystal window comprising a substrate, a polarizing layer located on the substrate, and a liquid crystal compound. The optical element is characterized in that the transmittance variation rate (%) is ±10% or less after a heat resistance test at 100C for 240 hours, and aims to prevent degradation of durability due to heat deformation .
