abstract |
Provided are a novel ultraviolet-ray screening agent and a novel cosmetic each having a high level of ultraviolet-ray screening function. The inventors have found that an extract from an olive branch has a high level of effect of absorbing ultraviolet rays, particularly UV-A and UV-B, and has a high level of ultraviolet-ray absorbing function, whereby the inventors have completed the present invention. The ultraviolet-ray screening agent according to the present invention includes an extract from an olive branch, wherein olive bark may be substituted for the olive branch. The ultraviolet-ray screening agent according to the present invention may be in the form of a cosmetic. |
