abstract Provided is a methacrylic resin composition characterized by containing a methacrylic resin which contains 50-97 mass% of methacrylic acid ester monomer units (A), 3-30 mass% of structural units (B) having a ring structure in the main chain, and 0-20 mass% of other vinyl-based monomer units (C) able to be copolymerized with a methacrylic acid ester monomer, the methacrylic resin satisfying conditions (1) and (2) below. Also provided is a film. (1) The weight average molecular weight, as measured by GPC, is 65,000-300,000. (2) The total content of specific components, as determined using GC/MS, is 0.01-0.40 mass%.
