abstract The present invention relates to a stem cell with an immunosuppressive ability in which the expression or activity of a suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) is suppressed, and a pharmaceutical composition for immunosuppression comprising the stem cell. Also, the present invention relates to a composition for inducing immunosuppressive activity of a stem cell, comprising a suppressor for the expression or activity of a suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS). The suppression of the expression or activity of a suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) according to the present invention can improve the immunosuppressive ability of a stem cell, and the stem cell with improved immunosuppressive ability can be utilized as an effective therapeutic agent in autoimmune diseases, rejection of organ transplantation, or allergic diseases, etc.
