The invention relates to a pigmentation particle for security applications, comprising a thermosetting plastic matrix and a plurality of core particles that are embedded therein and consist of a thermoplastic polymer, with a distinguishing substance being dissolved in said core particles and said distinguishing substance being an organic or metal-organic substance. The invention also relates to a method for producing security pigments, for example luminescent printing pigments, by incorporating thermoplastic polymer particles where the luminescent luminophore is present in a dissolved form, into a thermosetting plastic matrix. |
