titleOfInvention The use of a terpene resin-based composite binder in an electrochemical energy storage device
abstract Provided is a use of a terpene resin-based composite binder in manufacturing either lithium ion battery positive electrode plates or super capacitor electrode plates. Compared to the prior art, the present invention has following advantages: when used in a lithium battery positive electrode, the terpene resin-based aqueous binder provided by the present invention lowers the electrochemical interface impedance of the positive electrode plate, and improves to a considerable degree the high-rate charge-discharge performance as well as the cycle stability of lithium battery positive electrode materials; when used in lithium ion battery positive electrodes and super capacitors, the terpene resin-based oily binder provided by the present invention improves the cycle stability of electrodes, and significantly reduces production costs; the terpene resin provided by the present invention is sourced from a wide variety of natural plants, is environmentally friendly, and comes from abundant resources, and can be applied to lithium ion battery positive electrodes and super capacitors as a component in an aqueous or oily binder, thereby having a significant technical effect, lowering battery costs, driving fully-aqueous environmentally-friendly battery production, and offering extensive market potential.
