abstract Provided in an embodiment of the invention are a method and device for confirming a traffic category-based indication. The method comprises: receiving, by a receiver node, a traffic data packet transmitted by a transmitter node, wherein the traffic data packet carries k traffic data subpackets of N traffic categories; and returning, by the receiver node, a confirmation message to the transmitter node, wherein the confirmation message comprises a traffic identifier and k traffic identification auxiliary fields, wherein the traffic identifier indicates a combination of the N traffic categories, or the traffic identifier indicates that there are N traffic categories. The traffic identification auxiliary fields correspond one-to-one with the traffic data subpackets. The k traffic identification auxiliary fields are arranged according to a sequence order of the k traffic data subpackets so as to indicate a manner in which the k traffic data subpackets of the N traffic categories are combined, thereby realizing indication of multiple traffic categories at one time, and saving resources.
