titleOfInvention | Lignin-based binder and use thereof for production of particleboards, osb boards, mdf boards, hdf boards, plywood and wood laminate materials |
abstract | The present invention relates to a lignin-based binder and to the use thereof, especially for bonding of wood particles and wood fibres for the production of particleboards, OSB boards, MDF boards, HDF boards, plywood and wood laminate materials. For this purpose, the binder a) comprises a monomer selected from the general structure Y-(C)-X and/or the cyclic condensation product thereof and/or alkylene carbonates with a total proportion of 15% to 40% by mass, where X and Y are independently a carboxyl group (COOR) or amino group (-NHR), C is a (CHR) n group or a C 5-10 alicycle, n is an integer from 1 to 10, R is hydrogen (H) or a C 1-6 -alkyl group, b) alkali lignin with a molecular weight of 2000 and 4000 g/mol with a total proportion in the range from 40% to 85% by mass, where the alkali lignin is in monomolecular distribution in the monomer. |
