titleOfInvention | Use of peptide drugs for the treatment of osteoporosis and for bone regeneration |
abstract | The present invention provides osteogenic peptides derived from cementum attachment protein (HACD1/CAP) and another derived from cementum protein 1 (CEMP1), and pharmaceutical compositions of said peptides for the prevention and treatment of osteopenia and osteoporosis. These peptides increased bone mineral density in an osteoporotic model, without side effects in vivo , demonstrating clinical effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of osteopenia and osteoporosis in vivo , as well as in bone repair and/or regeneration. |
