abstract |
This endoscope device (10) includes an imaging unit (22) that detects reflected and scattered light of illumination light which is irradiated onto a subject (O), and outputs an imaging signal; and an image processing unit (24) that generates an image signal from the imaging signal. The image processing unit (24) generates an enhanced image signal and an unenhanced image signal. The enhanced image signal corresponds to a narrow band light included in an enhanced wavelength region which includes at least one of at least one maximum wavelength that takes at least one maximum value with respect to an optical absorption spectrum of a substance to be diagnosed that is present in the subject (O) and a color region maximum wavelength that takes a color region maximum value which is the maximum value of the optical absorption spectrum in any one of a color region out of three color regions of a first, second, and third color regions. The unenhanced image signal corresponds to a narrow band light included in an unenhanced wavelength region which is the wavelength region that does not include the enhanced wavelength region. |
