abstract | Provided is a composite polarizing plate that experiences little reduction in degree of polarization in high-temperature or high-temperature/high-humidity environments. Also provided is a liquid crystal panel that has high heat resistance and high wet-heat resistance. A composite polarizing plate in which are laminated: a first polarizing plate, in which are laminated, in order, a first protective film, a first polarizing film that has a thickness of 15 μm or less, and a second protective film; and a second polarizing plate, in which are laminated, in order, a third protective film, a second polarizing film that has a thickness of 15 μm or less, and a fourth protective film. The absorption axis of the first polarizing plate and the absorption axis of the second polarizing plate are approximately parallel. The second protective film and the third protective film, which are between the first polarizing film and the second polarizing film, satisfy expressions (1) and (2). (1) Re2 (590) + Re3 (590) ≤ 15 nm. (2) Rth2 (590) + Rth3 (590) ≤ 20 nm. |
