abstract This nonaqueous electrolyte solution electricity storage element includes: a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material to/from which anions can be absorbed/desorbed; a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material; a nonaqueous electrolyte solution; and a separator which is disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and which holds the nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The positive electrode active material is a carbon having pores of a three-dimensional network structure, and the carbon has a carbonate. The carbon may include the carbonate at least in the three-dimensional network structure. The carbonate may be mixed in the carbon. With the carbonate, at least one portion of the surface of the carbon may be coated.
