The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a negative electrode material for a lithium secondary battery. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a negative electrode material for a lithium secondary battery may be comprised of: a core portion formed of porous silicon (Si); a silicon metal oxide (SiOx) surrounding the core portion; and a carbon layer (C) surrounding the silicon metal oxide. Also, the present invention provides a method of manufacturing a negative electrode material for a lithium secondary battery, the method comprising the steps of: mixing a silane-based material and an amine-based material, and manufacturing a porous silicon-metal oxide compound; and heat-treating the porous silicon-metal oxide compound at 400°C to 1,600°C under an atmosphere of oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, argon, or a gas mixture thereof. A negative electrode material for a secondary battery manufactured according to the present invention has high capacity and high stability, and can be used as a negative electrode material for a lithium secondary battery. |
