abstract The present invention provides a hydrogel composition containing: a polyrotaxane or Pseudopolyrotaxane (PPRX)-structured macromolecular hydrogel; and a bone formation promoting drug. The polyrotaxane or Pseudopolyrotaxane-structured macromolecule-based hydrogel composition according to the present invention improves the water solubility of a bone formation promoting compound capsulated in the hydrogel, thereby sustainedly releasing the bone formation promoting compound for a long period of time. Especially, in the hydrogel composition containing a bone formation promoting compound capsulated in the hydrogel in a form of an inclusion complex, the bone formation promoting compound is promptly released and the new bone formation is promoted. Therefore, the macromolecule-based hydrogel composition according to the present invention can be used as a biocompatible scaffold for bone tissue regeneration.
