titleOfInvention Oriented positive electrode plate for lithium secondary battery
abstract Provided is an oriented positive electrode plate for a lithium secondary battery, the oriented positive electrode plate comprising a sintered body constituted from a plurality of lithium cobalt oxide crystal grains. In this oriented positive electrode plate, for at least some of the crystal grains, the (003) planes from the layered rock salt structure thereof are oriented in directions that intersect with the plate surface of the oriented positive electrode plate. The ratio R S of the diffraction peak intensity from the (003) planes over the diffraction peak intensity from the (104) planes by x-ray diffraction on a surface of the oriented positive electrode plate is lower than the ratio R I of the diffraction intensity from the (003) planes over the diffraction intensity from the (104) planes by x-ray diffraction on a center position in the plate thickness direction of the oriented positive electrode plate, and the ratio of the surface XRD peak ratio R S over the internal XRD peak ratio R I is 0.5 or lower. This oriented positive electrode plate allows for a suppression of crack development when an external stress is applied, and maintains the ease of lithium ion extraction due to the orientation on the oriented positive electrode plate surface and the resulting high output characteristics.
