titleOfInvention Water-based coating composition based on rigid urethane and application method therefor
abstract [Problem] Conventional water-based coating materials based on a rigid urethane are not applicable with rollers because of the high viscosity thereof and the coarse cement-based aggregate, and are still required to be applied with trowels to base concrete floor surfaces. The application requires operation time and labor. Furthermore, water-based coating materials based on a rigid urethane show high hardening shrinkage force to give coating films which warp or lift up. There has hence been a disadvantage that the surface to be coated must be grooved. [Solution] A water-based coating composition based on a rigid urethane is configured, the composition comprising a water-compatible polyol resin, diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) as a hardener, a cement-based fine aggregate, a diluent, and a hardening accelerator. Also provided is an application method which comprises using a sand aggregate roller to apply the water-based coating composition based on a rigid urethane. Due to this, easy application of certain quality is rendered possible, and this coating composition and this application method help prevent a coating film from warping or lifting up even when the base floor surface is not grooved.
