titleOfInvention Improved cardiac surgery retractor
abstract The invention relates to an improved cardiac surgery retractor comprising a base strip formed by a larger base and a smaller base, mutually disposed in a perpendicular manner and forming an L-shaped cross-section of the base strip, the smaller base being flat and the larger base having a curved geometry. The base strip incorporates a wing formed by a profile also having an L-shaped cross-section, the wing being articulated to the smaller base of the base strip, on a lateral edge of the smaller base that is contiguous to the contact surface between the smaller base and the larger base of the base strip, such that in a position of articulating the wing, one of the sides of the L-shaped profile of the wing continues the smaller flat base and the other side of the L-shaped profile of the wing continues the larger base.
