The invention relates to the field of biotechnology and medicine, and more particularly to technology for the production of implantable medical devices (stents) containing organic lanthanum compound-based X-ray contrast agents, which are distributed in the coating composition of such devices. The aim of the present invention is to produce on the surface of polymeric biodegradable vascular stents and other polymeric implants a biocompatible ( inter alia biodegradable) polymer coating containing Glycolan, which, by virtue of the inclusion conditions, provides a satisfactory X-ray contrast not only during the process of installing a stent in a patient, but also after installation, while also providing an additional positive effect as a result of the therapeutic properties of Glycolan. |
