abstract |
Provided is a rubber composition configured so as to improve low heat generation properties and tensile breaking elongation to levels beyond those of the prior art. The rubber composition is characterized by comprising a diene rubber and a reinforcing filler, said diene rubber containing a styrene-butadiene copolymer component that comprises at least one styrene-butadiene copolymer and in which: (1) the content of bound styrene is 5-50 wt%; (2) the total styrene content of an ozone decomposition component S1 including one styrene-derived unit and an ozone decomposition component S1V1 including one of each of a styrene-derived unit and a 1,2-bonded butadiene-derived unit is less than 80 wt% of the bound styrene content, and the total styrene content of the ozone decomposition component S1V1 is 10 wt% or more of the bound styrene content; (3) the area intensity of an ozone decomposition component S1V2 including one styrene-derived unit and two 1,2-bonded butadiene-derived units is 15% or more of the area intensity of all ozone decomposition products containing a styrene-derived unit; and (4) the vinyl content of the butadiene part is 20% or more but less than 50%. |
