abstract | The ultrasonic transducer according to the present invention is provided with: a plurality of piezoelectric elements; a substrate for inputting/outputting electric signals to/from the piezoelectric elements; a plurality of signal input/output electrodes for electrically connecting the piezoelectric elements and the substrate, the signal input/output electrodes being provided therebetween; a plurality of backing materials for attenuating the force exerted by operation of the plurality of piezoelectric elements, the backing materials being provided on the side of the plurality of piezoelectric elements where the signal input/output electrodes are disposed; and a plurality of sealing parts for sealing the outer surface of at least some of electrical paths connecting the substrate and the signal input/output electrodes. The plurality of piezoelectric elements, the plurality of backing materials, a portion of the substrate, the plurality of signal input/output electrodes, and the plurality of sealing parts are obtained by dividing a molding member, which is formed by laminating a plurality of materials constituting each of the foregoing, along the direction of lamination. |
