The invention relates to a method for detecting analytes in a sample, preferably for bioanalysis, diagnostic (human and veterinary), environmental analysis, or forensic applications, in the singleplex as well as in the multiplex format. The method is characterized in that a plurality of spatially separated reaction chambers is arranged on a support prior to carrying out a signal amplification reaction, wherein prior to, during, or after depositing a sample and a reaction solution, microparticles are immobilized on the support such that the microparticles are coated by the reaction solution. The reaction solution is then removed such that adjacent non-contacting immobilized microparticles are no longer covered by a connected layer of the reaction solution. |
