abstract |
It is an object of the present invention to provide methods for assessing the efficacy of a remote ischemic preconditioning procedure through the measurement of urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 concentrations. It is an object of the present invention to provide methods and compositions for assessing risk of an acute kidney injury occurring following administration of a therapeutic intervention on a patient known to increase risk of an acute kidney injury (AKI) prior to performing that therapeutic intervention. It is another object of the invention to provide methods of performing ischemic preconditioning on a patient in need thereof. In certain aspects, the present invention provides kits for the analysis of IGFBP7 and/or TIMP-2. |
