abstract The invention relates to a method for locating at least one emitter of electromagnetic emission radiation using a localization microscope. The method has the following steps: a) conducting the electromagnetic emission radiation through at least two objectives (4, 8) onto at least one optical detector, the optical axes of the at least two objectives (4, 8) running in linearly independent directions, b) detecting the electromagnetic emission radiation by means of the at least one optical detector, the at least one optical detector recording measurement values, and c) ascertaining the position of the at least one emitter from the measurement values recorded by the optical detector.
