abstract |
A chewing gum base and chewing gum comprises 1 to 30 wt.% elastomer, 1 to 50 wt.% elastomer solvent, 0 to 40 wt.% filler, 0 to 40% polyvinyl acetate and 5 to 50% of a fat composition which contains less than 4% trans fatty acid residues. The fat composition functions as a softener for the gum base and closely matches the performance of prior art fat compositions. |
